Murder suspect Allan Ochieng alias Hype Ballo charged at Kiambu High Court with the murder of senior Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer Felix Kelian Kintosi has been released on bond of Sh500,000.
Ochieng was on April 22 charged with murdering Kintosi on March 16 in Kikuyu Sub County of Kiambu contrary to section 203 as read with section 204 of the Penal Code.
He denied the charges before Justice Dorah Chepkwony at Kiambu High Court.
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions had opposed his release on bail and bond terms through prosecution Counsel Jeniffer Ndeda.
The ODPP wanted a social inquiry of Ochieng to be prepared by the Department of Probation and Aftercare Services before the suspect is released.
Ochieng was initially arrested with six others including DJ Joe Mfalme and three police officers at Kîkûyû police station who were released after investigations, and listed as witnesses in the case.
Kintosi was the deputy Dangoretti DCI commander until his death.
