Jane Waigwe Kimani, the wife of former Murang'a Governor Mwangi wa Iria, and her brother Solomon Mutura Kimani have been arrested on allegations of graft.
The two are suspects in the Murang'a County corruption case, which involves Ksh.140 million.
According to EACC spokesperson Eric Ngumbi, the two were arrested on Wednesday and escorted to the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court for arraignment.
The two are the directors of Value View Ltd, which is said to have served as a conduit for the fraudulent scheme.
The EACC is looking for the remaining six suspects, including the former Governor, who failed to appear before the EACC on Wednesday morning.
