A Leadwort Kenya Limited employee was today charged with stealing by agent contrary to section 283 of the Penal Code.
Samuel Kanyi Kang'ang'a was arraigned before Magistrate Shikwe at Milimani Law Courts where the prosecution alleged that he stole over Ksh 8 million from his employer.
According to the charge sheet, Samuel on diverse dates between August 9 and September 22, being the agent of Leadwort Kenya Limited stole USD 68,000 equivalent to Ksh 8.7 million the property of Leadwort Kenya Limited which had been entrusted to him to deliver to East Africa Zhenyuan group company ltd.
He denied the charges and was released on Ksh 3 million bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 1 million.
