Kilfi Governor Mung'aro Mourns Brigadier General Said Swale

 


Kilfi Governor Gideon Mung'aro has has led other Kenyans in mourning the death of Brigadier General Said Nzaro Swaleh that occurred on Thursday, April 18, 2024.


Swaleh hails from Kikambala, Kilifi.


"On behalf of my administration and the people of Kilifi, our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and the Kenya Defence Forces," Mung'aro said. 


According to the Governor, Brigadier Swaleh leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication that will be remembered and cherished by many. 


"May his memory continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Brigadier Swaleh," Mung'aro concluded.


Swaleh died alongside Kenya's military chief, Gen Francis Omondi Ogolla, after a military helicopter crashed, the president said.


In a news conference, President William Ruto said it was a "moment of great sadness" for the country.
