Chief of Defense Forces Major Francis Ogolla is set to be buried on Sunday in Siaya according to his wishes.
This was revealed by his family who revealed that Ogolla had left instructions in his will to be buried within 72 hours of his death.
According to sources, the military had been informed of the will and are working within the timelines to ensure it is honoured.
The event has been taken over by the state because he died in office.
The bodies of Gen Ogolla and nine other military officers and service men were flown to Nairobi on Thursday night.

President William Ruto declared three of mourning the General and nine other Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) personnel who perished when their helicopter crashed and burst into flames in Elgeyo Marakwet.
President Ruto ordered the lowering of national, regional, and regimental flags to half-mast from Friday.
He described Gen Ogolla’s death as “a painful loss to me”.
Before his passing, Ogolla was expected in Siaya County on Saturday, April 20 to commemorate his father, Joel Okech's upcoming 100th birthday celebration with the festivities set to continue into Sunday and engage the local community.
