The high court has issued orders restraining the DCI from arresting or detaining the former sports CS Rashid Echesa.
High court Judge Diana Kavedsa issued the orders today and directed that after discharge from hospital, the former CS should be escorted by his advocates to the DCI offices for investigations and interrogations.
The judge further directed that this should not be later than 22nd April.
She further ordered that should the police find reason to charge Echesa, they are free to do so.
She granted the former CS a personal bond of shillings 2Million. She said that the file before is now closed unless any party disobeys her orders.
Echesa is currently admitted at Karen hospital where he was taken by the DCI after he fell sick in custody at Muthaiga Police Station.
