Key Witness In 11.8 Acre Donholm Land Case Skips Court

Milimani Law Court Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina adjourned the criminal case against four members of Sowesava self Help group accused of forgery of a land allotment letter, lease, and title deed of 11.8 Acres land belonging to Gidjoy Investment Limited.

The criminal case against Patrobas Awino, Alexander Hoops Shihemi, Peter Gitau Muiruri and Peter Njoroge Kanika will now proceed on July 3rd, following the absence of Key prosecution witnesses who were to testify today.

The prosecution informed the Court that the investigating officer and the surveyor were out of official duties and hence pleaded with the Court to grant another hearing date.

The four accused persons are jointly charged with conspiracy to defraud Gidjoy Investment Limited's 11.8-acre parcel of land valued at Ksh 944 million located at the Donholm area of Nairobi, by forging land transfer documents and title deeds in 2018.

The prosecution had bonded two witnesses to testify but informed the court that both witnesses who are government officers, were away on official duties, and the court fixed the case for hearing on July 30th and 31st this year.
