Three suspects were arrested on Friday after allegedly assaulting a 31-year-old man to death in the Kapsiliot area of Karuna Meibeki ward in Uasin Gishu County on allegations of pesticide theft.
Residents discovered the deceased, Tom Lopeyok, in a bush with bruises indicating he had been hit with a blunt object.
The incident is said to have occurred at 10 a.m., but the victim's body was discovered six hours later.
The suspects; Dennis Wafula, aged 52, Jackson Khamasi, 62, and Kibet Ole, 48, are said to have given Lopeyok a thorough beating after he allegedly stole a pesticide believed to be Wafula’s.
