On Monday morning, Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok was involved in a minor accident on the Narok-Kericho highway.
The accident, which occurred at Kipisarwet area, involved Barchok's official vehicle and a boda boda rider transporting a pillion passenger.
According to the governor, he and the boda boda rider escaped unharmed.
The pillion passenger sustained minor soft tissue injuries and is currently being treated at Longisa County Referral Hospital, according to the statement.
"In light of this incident, Barchok urges all road users to observe traffic rules, exercise responsibility and caution at all times to prevent such unfortunate occurrences."
Gov. Barchok wished the patient a speedy recovery.
