15 cops accused of abducting two Indians, taxi driver Charged

 


15 Disbanded SSU police officers appear before Kahawa Law Courts for the hearing of a case where two Indians and a Kenyan taxi driver were abducted in August 9, 2022.


The fifteen are accused of conspiring to abduct the three victims.


The prosecution today informed Court that they will be parading a total of 30 witnesses to prove that indeed the fifteen police officers took part in abducting the Indians and their driver and dumping them at Abadare ranges.


The ODPP described before the anti-terror Court in Kahawa how National Intelligence Service unit of police located the taxi driver carrying two Indians believed to have been murdered in 2022 before they were dumped in Abadere ranges in Nyeri County.


The ODPP explained to Court how police officers John Mwangi Kamau and  Joseph Mwenda discussed via phone about clearing the murder scene at Abadare ranges and that indeed on 16th of August 2022 the crime scene was cleared. 


The ODPP intends to take the Court to Abadere ranges where the two Indians and their taxi driver are believed to have been dumped.
