Three men were arrested as police intercepted 45 bales of bhang weighing 138 kilograms in two separate yet interconnected incidents in Nakuru County.
In the first incident, police intercepted a Nissan Vanette vehicle reg. no. KBX 684H ferrying 9 bales of bhang disguised as animal feeds in Subukia, Nakuru County following a tip-off from members of the public.
Upon interrogation by DCI detectives, the vehicle's driver, 32-year-old Evans Oluoch Rogo, led detectives to two of his accomplices in Nakuru City, where the confiscated load was destined.
The duo, Ali Abdikadir Ali, 30 and Ortofa Dida, 28, were found in possession of 36 bales of the outlawed drug, found stashed within a Toyota Crown vehicle reg. no. KBZ 861H.
