KDF Officer Arrested for for Beating Man to Death in Homa Bay

 


Police in Homa Bay have arrested a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer after allegedly killing a 30-year-old man, Collins Okira at Sino Village in Rachuonyo South Sub County.


In a video circulating on social media, the KDF officer together with two other men -one believed to be his brother were seen assaulting the victim who at the time was blindfolded before brutally murdering him.


The KDF officer is being detained at Oyugis police station.


Rachuonyo Sub County Police Commander Lilies Wachira disclosed that on April 7th,2024, the KDF officer, his brother and another man went to Okiro’s house at Sino village and convinced him to leave with them to a secluded location.


Okiro’s wife who had no knowledge of where the three men were taking her husband, identified the KDF officer and his brother days after his murder.


The police then started a hunt for the suspects and arrested the KDF officer.


Currently, there is a manhunt for the two other suspects who are yet to be arrested.
