Following a city crackdown by the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), two suspects were arrested and 109 shisha pots were seized from Alfakher Lounge on Mirema Drive in the Kasarani area on Tuesday night.
The suspects, Patricia Wanza and Asmelder Wambui, were apprehended during the operation, which concluded in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
NACADA, in collaboration with officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Kenya Police, seized additional contraband goods on the premises.
They include 50 alfakher flavours (mint-flavored gums), 170 pieces of flavour al-sultan, 400 pieces of coconut charcoal, and 16 charcoal carriers.
Others include 140 orange mint alfakher flavours, 29 blueberry mint flavours, 50 grape mint flavours, and other shisha-related items.
The suspects will remain in police custody at Kasarani Police Station awaiting further action.
