Waziri Benson Masubo finds himself in the wrong side of the Law after illegally directing Nairobi County regional Criminal Investigations officer to arrest his Fiance's former husband.
According to the prosecution, the accused person on March 21, 2024 by falsely presenting himself as a legal officer in the office of the First Lady Madam Rachel Ruto, assumed to instruct the Nairobi County regional Criminal Investigations Officer Mr. Peter Njeru Nthiga to arrest Patrick Mwangi a former husband to his girlfriend Caroline Ngima.
He was also charged with giving false information to police by stating that he was a legal officer at the office of the First Lady and that he had noticed a vehicle trailing him with a view of harming him making the DCI, Nairobi region dispatch a team of police officers to commence investigations.
After investigations it was established that the vehicle was not trailing him and that it belonged to his girlfriend's Ex-husband.
Appearing before Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Bernard Ochoi, Waziri denied the charges with the prosecution opposing his release on bond saying he was a flight risk.
