Brothers Stab Man To Death Over Jembe Dispute, Their Mother Arrested

A middle-aged woman was arrested and detained at Kamagambo police station after the death of a 25-year-old man.

Pamela Achieng's sons are believed to have stabbed the man to death in Kanga village, Migori County.

According to West Kamagambo Chief Charles Zam Ayieko, Pamela went to the police station to report the matter after his two accused sons, aged 17 and 19, went into hiding.

Police arrested her in order to conduct further investigations.

Ayieko stated that the incident occurred during a fight between Calvince Were (the deceased) and Pamela over a jembe.

According to preliminary investigations, Pamela told her sons that the deceased assaulted her over a jembe, prompting the sons to attack and stab him to death.

According to the area chief, Were was rushed to Rongo Royal Hospital after suffering stab wounds but died on arrival.

Ayieko said police are still looking for the two suspects who fled after learning of the man's death. He stated that the matter is still under police investigation.
